FREY (Freyr), a legendary name among the gods and a prominent member of the Vanir, whose meaning comes from the word "lord." A royal name for our FREY shoulder plates, which will enhance your lateral ballistic protection in your gear. The FREY pouches for side ballistic systems have dimensions of 21 cm x 8 cm x 2 cm each (includes two pouches, one for each side).

What makes the FREY SIDE PLATE POUCH special?

The FREY pouches are specifically designed for the RUNNE cummerbunds, allowing for the transport of 6x6 cm ballistic plates. If needed, they can be expanded to carry larger plates up to 15x30 cm, as both sides provide access to the interior, with a flexible adjustment in width and height. These pouches attach using Velcro to the inner side of the RUNNE cummerbunds, adding an extra layer of lateral protection to the plate carrier.

Material and Plates

Both FREY pouches are designed to adapt flexibly to 6x6 cm ballistic plates, whether rigid or soft. The high-performance elastic fabric facilitates plate insertion, allowing the pouch to slightly deform without hindering its placement, perfectly adjusting to the plate's contour. To provide greater rigidity to the entire setup, 1000D nylon is used. Additionally, both sides of the pouch can be opened to allow for the incorporation of soft ballistic plates up to 15x30 cm. It is recommended that the thickness of the plates within this range should not exceed 3 or 3.5 cm.
