What makes the RUNE CUMMERBUND special?
RUNE is a lightweight, durable, and versatile cummerbund that, with a minimal profile, allows for the inclusion of side ballistic plates in different formats and the addition of heavy side loads, thus expanding its configurability according to mission requirements.
TEGRIS® Structure
The RUNE cummerbund has been designed to prevent deformation or sagging, even when carrying heavy loads, providing optimal stability and great comfort. Thanks to TEGRIS® technology, it achieves a lightweight and ultrathin structure without compromising rigidity or strength. This material, used in the military industry, significantly reduces the belt's weight compared to traditional methods but retains greater load capacity and durability.
Quick Release Buckle
The cummerbund features a quick release buckle, a compact system designed to quickly release one side of the cummerbund via pressure or traction. Made of high-strength polymer, it is ideal for aquatic operations. It generates no noise, adds no weight, and remains functional even when wearing gloves (the pull tab has a heat-sealed paracord at its end). It has a high degree of impact resistance and serves as a quick-disconnect element at key points, whether in emergency situations or to facilitate donning and doffing.
Ballistic Protection and Padding
The interior of the RUNE cummerbund includes internal padding that enhances lateral comfort and allows for various applications. For example, you can place a SNORRI POCKET internally between the padding and the cummerbund itself, or by completely removing this padding, install different types of ballistic plates using our FREY SIDE POUCH.
MOLLE and Velcro
The cummerbund offers a line of MOLLE that extend around its entire perimeter up to the closure (Cobra® or quick-release buckle, depending on the model), providing maximum space to add any type of pouch around its perimeter. Pouches can be attached via the MOLLE system (thanks to the laser-cut lines) or via Velcro. Size adjustment is made at the end located at the back of the plate carrier via Velcro. Additionally, the final end includes an elastic section that, once the cummerbund is installed, allows the operator to have some margin of movement, adapting to their movements.
